Kalmandavi Waterfall Jawhar – A Beautiful yet Risky Waterfall

One of the adventurous and risky waterfalls in Jawhar is Kalmandavi waterfall (not recommended for families & kids groups), Located at an isolated location in the deep valley of Shivajinagar, Jawhar.

A multi-level waterfall and the only which is not recommended during peak monsoon and is best explored during early monsoon or post-rainy days due to the risk factors involved.

Second on the list of waterfalls in Jawhar is Kalmandavi when it comes to attracting tourists, trekkers, and youths from Mumbai and other places around. The valley length covered by Kalmandavi is large as it is multi-layer. Drone shots of this valley feel like we are exploring some giant canyon which actually is one of the best treks near Mumbai for young enthusiasts.

ALERT!! The beautiful it is an Equally extremely dangerous waterfall to get inside the water. So request you to not dive in. Accident in the year 2020 (5 Drowns), Also a 45-year-old drown while taking a selfie in 2021.

I will not recommend this for kids, aged, or family groups as the 20 to 25 minutes trek that is needed to reach is not suitable for them. Also, the location is a deep forest isolated, So better not to take a risk of going there with family. It’s heaven for Bikers, Trekkers, and Monsoon lovers.

The nearest family-safe waterfall is Hiradpada.

Reaching Kalmandavi waterfall Which is Near Shivajinagar: The location is about 7.2 km (15 minutes drive) from Hanuman Point, inside the market area. From Hanuman Mandir (Temple) Road, You need to take Jawhar-Kaulale zap road and ahead take Aktar Road (On the Right) while on the drive (Refer to the below Map). After a point, the road gets narrow and you need to trek down the hills to reach Kalmandavi.
